Why do you use
DHL for shipping?
We feel that DHL is unbeatable, both in shipping costs
(keeping your end cost down) and
reliability, and so it is our default shipping method for domestic
shipping. We will only ship custom weatherproof stand-ups to P.O. boxes at an extra expense to
you. We do not ever ship cardboard celebrity stand-ups purchased
on
www.lifesizecelebrities.com to P.O. boxes.
How do you provide shipping so inexpensively?
With our affiliation with Goin' Postal we can ship our products at a
fraction of the cost of the competition as Goin' Postal is an authorized
ship center for both UPS, FedEx, as well as DHL. Visit Goin' Postal's website
at www.goinpostal.com and find a
location near you. You may also want to check out a Goin' Postal
franchise opportunity as they offer all the benefits of a UPS store
franchise, a Pak Mail franchise, or Postal Annex Franchise without the
massive initial investment.
How much is shipping to a destination in the
Continental U.S.?
We are selling a premium product that all of your friends will want
when they see it. To reduce your costs we are happy to cover 2-Day
Air shipping for our custom weatherproof stand-ups in the continental US (Hawaii & Alaska pays
additional shipping). We use 2-Day because you will want to
receive your new decoration as soon as possible. We ship all cardboard celebrity stand-ups
via ground service which takes between 5 and 7 business days to arrive depending upon whether or not your item is in
stock at the time of your order.
Large stand-ups (over the 72" x 28" size) or
multi-piece orders (several stand-ups headed to the same location) may
need to be shipped via FREIGHT.
Freight charges are NOT INCLUDED in the base price
of the stand-up (only UPS and FedEx shipping are included in that
price) and must be paid by the customer.
The freight carriers do not guarantee a specific
pick-up date or a specific delivery date like DHL .
While we will ship the items on
time there are no guarantees that they will not be delays in receiving
your item. There will be no refunds due to delays in shipping
from our express carriers. Keep this in mind when placing orders
that are time sensitive.
How are the stand-ups packaged?
Both types of stand-ups (both our custom weatherproof stand-ups and our
cardboard celebrity stand-ups) are boxed and shipped flat. They require NO ASSEMBLY
when received. Just unfold the stand and stand it up! (The
cardboard celebrity stand-ups also come folded at the waist; the custom
weatherproof stand-ups are completely flat.)
What about international shipping?
Due to the size of most of the items we sell, we normally don't ship
them overseas due to the cost. However, if you really want to
receive it overseas, we'll work up a shipping quote for you. We
can also ship items to Hawaii and Alaska for an additional charge, as
shipping to these destinations is more expensive than shipping within
the Continental U.S. (Hawaii & Alaska pays additional shipping).
What if I'm local?
You are welcome to visit the Goin' Postal store or Skywatch Signs to
place your order personally. You are also welcome to pick up your
Life Size Greeting to expedite receiving your stand-up.
How long will it take to get my custom
weatherproof stand-up?
This varies. Our average turnaround time is approximately 2
weeks, and THEN your item is shipped via 2-Day shipping (included in the
price of your custom stand-up). However, at busy times of the year
such as from October-March, the turnaround time can be a tad longer.
If you would like to upgrade your
shipping, we will do that, but only at our discretion.
What if I don't like my purchase or it is damaged
when I get it?
Our 100% Satisfaction guarantee covers all purchases for 48 hours from
the date of receipt. Damages: Should your item be
damaged when you receive it, call us IMMEDIATELY. We may ask that you
send us a photograph of the damage by your choice of email or regular
mail. Once we have determined the problem, we will reship the item
and we will place a claim with DHL. DHL may come
to inspect and reclaim the item, so it is important (should your
item be damaged) that you KEEP ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS.
If the shipping company damages, loses,
or doesn’t get the stand-up there on time or in one piece, then we will
remake it and will place the claim…but in that eventuality we can’t
guarantee that the remade/replacement stand-up will arrive on the exact
initial date desired.
Returns: All returned items carry a minimum restocking fee
of 35% PLUS actual shipping and handling charges incurred by us (around
$40 for a Giant Size stand-up). Fully customized items such as
custom stand-ups or other photo items are completely non refundable. Personalized
items that are customized with your family name or caption have a 50%
restocking fee. The way we calculate the
refund due is the cost of the item minus the restocking fee, then we subtract what
we paid to package and ship the item.
What Keeps My Credit Card Safe?
At Life Size Greetings, whenever you provide any personal
information (e.g. when making a purchase) we encrypt it so that no one
can read it while it is being transmitted over the Internet. At this
time, all information (such as your name and address) is safely stored
behind a firewall. A firewall is a set of related programs that protects
your information from users from other networks. We store this type of
information so that you do not have to re-enter it each time you make a
purchase or log in.
Is My Personal Information Safe?
Yes, any personal information that you submit to the site will
remain safe and secure.
How Can I Be Removed From Life Size Greetings
Customer and Mailing Lists?
We will never send you any unsolicited mail of ANY kind. If
you would like to be removed from our customer database after your order
is completed, just send us an email to
remove@lifesizegreetings.com
and include your name and customer number.

Shipping for Cardboard Celebrity Stand-Ups Purchased on
Lifesizecelebrities.com
Once your order is processed your cardboard celebrity
stand-up(s) will be sent ground,
depending upon whether your item is in stock at the time
of your order. Saturdays
and Sundays are not considered shipping days, and UPS,
FedEx, DHL, and the USPS often do not transport parcels on
holiday days, so please
take this into account when estimating your stand-up's
arrival date. Shipping to a Continental U.S. destination is included
in the price of your cardboard celebrity stand-up.
Please
understand that your order will be shipped after it is
processed, which is not necessarily on the exact day that
you place your order. At busy times of the year, such as
the winter months and holidays from (October-March),
it may take several days to a week
or more just to process your order, and then it will be
shipped to you. If your item is not in
stock we will have it shipped to you directly from the
manufacturer, which may also delay shipping a bit. You will receive an email that
confirms that your credit card is viable and can be
charged, but please understand that we do not bill your
credit card until the very moment that your order is about
to leave the premises. If you need your cardboard celebrity
stand-up very quickly, we have other shipping options that
are available to you for an additional cost, providing
that your item(s) is(are) in stock.
Custom mugs, custom license plates, and custom t-shirts are
shipped via USPS Priority Mail. At busy times of the
year it may take 10-14 days to process your order, and
then it will be shipped to you as quickly as possible.
As of March 19, we are advising customers that our printer
is down and has been scheduled for service on March 31.
All custom orders placed from February 27 to date are
currently on hold. If you would like to cancel your
order at this time, please contact us. We apologize
for the inconvenience.
We DO NOT ship cardboard celebrity
stand-ups to P.O. Box addresses. You must provide an
actual physical address. We
can ship your stand-up to a destination outside the
Continental U.S.,
but there is an additional fee for international shipping.
Please email us or call us and we'll be happy to give you
a quote.
You placed your order but the
screen reads "Empty Shopping Cart."
Occasionally our server experiences a harmony blip and makes it
difficult or impossible to place an order online. Another possible cause of
this problem is that you may have a cookie file that is fouling things
up in your computer system. If that is the case, the
only way to place your order online is to locate the
offending file and delete it.

What kind of DISCOUNTS do you offer?
PREFABRICATED CARDBOARD CELEBRITY STAND-UPS: These are the
stand-ups that you see on
www.lifesizecelebrities.com. We give varying discounts on
these items. Send us an email or call us and we'll see what works
best for you. Our
celebrity stand-ups are barely marked up, and we also INCLUDE SHIPPING in the
price of your cardboard celebrity stand-up when you purchase stand-ups
at the regular price, so there isn't a lot of room for discounts, but
we'll do our very best to make you happy! Please understand that
if we give you a discount on your stand-ups that we cannot include the
cost of shipping. That will have to be paid by you, the customer.
CUSTOM CARDBOARD STAND-UPS: We will have to have a die specially
made to cut our your custom cardboard stand-up, and that is rather
time-consuming and pricey. For that reason, we only create custom
cardboard stand-ups in groups of 100 or more, and they are then shipped
by freight at your cost (i.e., shipping is not included for this type of
stand-up). (If you need the stand-ups to go to several different
locations, we can work up a shipping quote for that.) May we
recommend that you take a peek at our amazing, attractive, and durable
custom weatherproof stand-ups? You will find the various sizes and
corresponding prices by clicking on "Products" and "Custom."
CUSTOM WEATHERPROOF STAND-UPS AND CARDS: If you have shopped
around at all then you already know that our prices are the lowest
(especially in light of the fact that we INCLUDE SHIPPING in the price
of your stand-up when you buy them at regular price!) and that we use only the highest quality materials to
produce our weatherproof custom stand-ups. Our profit margin is
extremely tiny and for this reason we can only give small discounts on
orders of 10 or more identical stand-ups. It is also important for
you to know that if we give you a discount off the already low regular
price, we cannot include shipping in the discounted price of your group
of identical stand-ups. We will be pleased to arrange for the
least expensive, best carrier to get your stand-ups to you (at your
